LEVO
A few years ago, Bret Urness of LEVO approached us with a story and an idea. He had recently planted his own vineyard in a unique hollow within the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles. He knew of our mutual fondness for a very particular varietal, Petite Sirah. A topic we had discussed at length together many times. He wanted to know if we would be interested in working with his new site and putting our own spin on this hard-to-tame varietal. It was a no brainer. Working with LEVO represents all that we love about what we do; great friends all working together towards the same lofty goal, having a blast while doing it.
Nestled within a tree-lined bowl deep in the heart of the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles LEVO vineyard is planted to just 17 acres of mostly Rhone Varietals. The vineyard features the famous blend of fractured calcareous shale and limestone soils paired with massive diurnal shifts in temperature that have made the Willow Creek AVA so famous.
Here, we work with a 3/4 acre block of Petite Sirah that goes just to us.
