G2
G2 is one of those, “If you know, you know” vineyards. Those who seek out the utmost expression of Rhone wines from California will be well versed in the wines produced from this site. In 2019, Bill and Debbie Gibbs purchased the property utilizing the guidance of good friend Justin Smith of Saxum and have since ushered in a new era of low yield ultra-premium farming to the site. The world class wines being produced from G2 are a true testament to their vision, careful stewardship and relentless pursuit.
Aptly named after the famed Gasherbrum II mountain, G2 boasts some of the steepest slopes being farmed in Paso Robles. The soil is composed entirely of exposed rocky shale. Irrigation here is minimized as much as possible and only regenerative organic and sustainable practices are used.
