Lights Out is our Syrah sourced entirely from Stolpman Vineyard in Ballard Canyon. Those who know Stolpman will be familiar with its special and unique composition of Syrah plantings whose lineage  can be traced back to holy grail Syrah sites in the Northern Rhone. Through several discussions with the Stolpman team we carefully selected a handful of these small sections throughout the vineyard that we all felt would give us a truly special expression of this site. It is a powerhouse of a wine that we craft employing a no holds-barred approach to drawing the absolute most of the fruit. It was when we first tasted the wines from barrel that we said, “this is going to be lights out!”
